The Art of Slowing Down
3 Hour Wellness Retreat
Sunday 6th December
1-4pm
Space and time to slow down, unwind
and have time just for you.
If I could recommend a session to everyone, this would be the one!
Our restorative mini-retreat has been designed to give you the time and space to move, rest and feel total relaxation.
Our session starts with a slow, traditional Mountain Series yoga practice, bringing mindful movement to the upper body, helping to release tension, improve mobility and gently awaken the body.
We'll then move into a lower-body Yin practice, with longer-held postures designed to gently work into the deeper connective tissues and fascia, encouraging greater mobility, flexibility and a sense of release. With time to settle into each posture and connect with your breath, this slower practice offers an opportunity to quieten the mind, soften physical tension and find a little more peace and calm.
From there we'll then ease into Yoga Nidra, a guided practice of deep rest and relaxation, allowing the body to settle and the mind to drift into a peaceful, meditative state.
Our session will finish with a beautiful sound bath, using soothing sounds and vibrations to create a tranquil space for you to completely let go and simply be.
And because time to yourself should include a little treat, we'll finish our afternoon together with herbal tea and delicious homemade-style treats, including bliss balls, in the cosy surroundings of the studio.
No previous yoga experience is necessary.
This is a slow, gentle and inclusive practice, suitable for all levels and abilities.
A little time away from the everyday, to breathe, rest, restore and leave feeling lighter, calmer and more connected.
