Imagine waking up in total peace, stepping outside into the quiet of the French countryside and having nowhere you need to be.
A few days of yoga, beautiful food, good wine, peaceful surroundings, village adventures and time to simply slow down, breathe and enjoy life. Welcome to The French Retreat.
Our peaceful surroundings
For our exclusive use, this beautiful converted farmhouse and barn out in the countryside, a car journey from Bordeaux.
There's a large swimming pool, out door and indoor yoga area, a beautiful village and vineyard in the vicinity.
Yoga, Yogalates & Yin Classes
Open air classes will be held morning and afternoon/evening to suit all abilities.
The morning classes will build from slow to flow and the evening classes will be Yin yoga.
Incorporated throughout the classes will be breathwork, yoga nidra and guided savasana.

Relaxation
Spend your free time relaxing poolside or go shopping/kyaking/horse/cycling.
Or visit the French street market in walking distance in the local village.
Delight the tastebuds
Talented local chefs will be cooking dishes for us and will cater for all dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free with local produce.
Your teacher
Ruth is an experienced qualified yoga teacher with over 23 years practice experience and additionally qualified in the fusion of Yoga and Pilates, Yogalates.
She believes in the power of Yoga to help you attain physical and mental health and wellbeing through movement and meditation, exploring the full potential of your mind and body.
Rooms
All the rooms, in the converted barn are twin rooms with en-suite bathrooms.
In the main house there are 5 rooms, 1 is ensuite, two share one large bathroom and the other 2 share a full bathroom with additional toilet.
Sound Bath
A talented local sound practitioner will be providing the sound bath on the retreat which is included in the cost.
Treatments
Various treatments are available on site by qualified therapists.

Excursions
Included in the price of your retreat is a trip to a local vineyard for wine tasting.
We will also visit the beautiful picturesque local village of Aubeterre, where we can shop for all the local handicrafts, have lunch or pursue outdoor activities like kyaking.

You may choose to have your own room or Ruth can twin you with another participant or come along a friend/partner. When you're amongst like-minded individuals, friendships will come easy during the group meals and fun and laughter will be shared.
Alcohol
Please note that we will have dry days on the retreat and a couple of very reasonably priced alcoholic drinks will be available to purchase in an evening with dinner should you wish.
Payment
To book your space, please pay your deposit of £295 via this link.
For remaining payments, you can pay in flexible instalments and this can be arranged by email with Ruth for either monthly or stage payments. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable (except within the two week window for initial sale). For cancellations, all monies with exception of the deposit can be refunded up to 6 months prior to the retreat, 30% of all monies except the deposit, would be refundable up to 3 months prior to the retreat. No refunds will be given within 3 months of the retreat.
